Almost Christmas!

Almost Christmas!

I saw three... well this photo was taken a couple of days ago!

Tim had come back home having had Covid while he was away. He is much recovered but still has diminished sense of smell and to a lesser extent taste.

It is good to have him back and he is slowly returning to his pre-covid routine though not quite.

The outbreak of the Omicron mutation of the virus meant that we were thinking Christmas might not happen again... but Keith jumped on an earlier train (there is much disruption because of lack of drivers) and arrived on Saturday afternoon; Bridgie followed the next day with a half hour delay to her train.

It is so good to have them here - we went to have Breakfast at the Dog and Rabbit on the Monday morning and after our usual delicious fare we went to pay... Keith was about to pay when Ben said... "no, you're not paying...Korea have got this!" Phil and Brandi had somehow fixed it with Ben and it was such a wonderful surprise! It felt as though they were right with us!

Bridgie and I are sleeping in Elizabeth's leavint e 'boys' the run of the house.

We have had fun doing food prep together - it is so good to have their company.

They have had some walks together and we have sat by the fire doing crosswords!

The government have continued their unspeakable progress - you wouldn't believe it if it was in a film! For some, discovering parties going on in No 10 while we were in lockdown last Christmas was the last straw. It is so depressing to even think about their behaviour... so i wont.

Golf became few and far between because we had weeks of poor weather when the ladies were supposed to play.

I did have a lovely morning with Uncle Tim on one of these occasions... we had a lovely walk on Holywell beach.

The wind was fierce but it was very beautiful.

It looks as though we are heading for more restrictions after Christmas - not before time.
