June 23rd on
Bridgie began work at 8.15 ... she popped into my bedroom to wave farewell on her long journey to work!!!!
Safely set up in the extension she had ten meetings to get through and I only saw her briefly once... she works so hard.
I popped up to the Carn and the first of the heather is out.
It was breezy but I sat a while in the sun watching the skybus doing circuits and bumps - keeping flying hours up I guess.
Bridgie finished work about 6pm and after we'd eaten took a lovely walk down to the Cot Valley then up the long incline to Carn Gloose, and I met her in the car at Cape.
Wednesday 24th and Phil's birthday! We recalled Phil's epic Bath to Rome ride beginning on this day in 2017! what a different place our world is now. Brandi cooked an amazing Thai food meal for him... it looked amazing!
Today followed a similar pattern for Bridgie with just a couple less meetings and I went and played golf with Lindsay. We had a good time and on the way home I picked up this amazing salad and chilli chocolate cake from Ben's to mark Phil's birthday - yum!
Bridgie is enjoying having such beautiful landscape to walk in.
Thursday
It was too stifling today... hot, no wind and airless. Here's Bridgie coming in to my bedroom to wave farewell as she set off for today's work!
It was so hot out - it was far cooler and more comfy in the house!
I was glad to be able to watch some golf on my laptop. Bridgie and I have been socially distancing as much as possible... haven't had a hug yet but it is so good to have her here. Today she repeated the lovely walk via Cot and Carn Gloose and we met and Cape and bought a takeaway pizza.
In the evenings we have watched The Great British Sewing Bee on iplayer which has been lovely to share.
Friday followed the similar pattern and we gave ourselves the treat of fish and chips from the chip shop. You have to phone in your order and give a pick up time - Bridgie ran down in the rain and collected... absolutely delicious!
Saturday was windy with the odd bit of sunshine and a brief bit of drizzle. I played with Hilary and we had a good time - we are not allowed rakes in the bunkers so Hilary brought her own!
We didn't actually need it today but had to have a picture anyway!
Bridgie went for a walk over towards Gwynver and saw the beautiful purple fields of vipers bugloss.
I was happy to put my feet up in the afternoon and Bridgie cooked tea :-)
Sunday we had our family Zoom mid morning then we went for a walk to the Tregeseal holed stone. It was overcast but lovely to be out.
Again, the heather is just showing its colour.

It has been lovely this week not to be thinking about the news too much - I've avoided news programmes and just catch up briefly with what is going on - it's certainly better for the state of mind.... though the crowded Dorset beaches and tons and tons of litter left behind were appalling.
