Early Saturday morning... after another lovely gentle morning of coffee and quiet breakfast Gill went off to church and I went to play golf; it was the Past Captain's Competition - a competitive round of golf followed by a meal. It was good to catch up with 'old' friends - in fact I played alongside one chap I know quite well, and another who was new to me and we had such a laugh all the way round it was really good fun... masses of banter! The golf was not bad either although after a good first nine I got a bit tired and lost my concentration. Still it was a lovely afternoon and the evening meal was excellent.
